The katakuchi (片口, "single mouth") is a specialized type of chawan featuring a pouring spout, making it uniquely suited for preparing matcha lattes and other poured matcha drinks.

The kusenaoshi (癖直し) is a specialized ceramic tool used to reshape and maintain the bamboo tines of your matcha whisk (chasen). This tea whisk holder not only maintains the whisk's shape and provides convenient storage, but its thoughtfully ventilated design also helps prevent mold growth.
